Though first cousins, apparently, Mordecai was considerably older than young Hadessah (Esther) as he "took her for his own daughter."

Why Mordecai did not marry and have his own children is not known.

Esther we know, was very PATRIOTIC, and was willing to be a martyr for Her People.

. . . CARRYING out the GREAT COMMISSION . . . and STRIVING TO OBEY the LORD'S PRAYER as we PRAY!

NOT seeking to "heap up wealth agaisnt the senior years, building ever bigger houses, more cars and investments hoping ONLY to say:

"SOUL . . . thou has MUCH GOODS . . . take thine ease . . . knowing NOT how SOON THY SOUL SHALL BE REQUIRED OF THEE!

MORDECAI was Greatly Promoted by God!

BECAUSE his heart was in the right place:

Esther 10:2 - "And all the acts of his (Mordecai) power and of his might, and the declaration of 'the greatness of Mordecai, whereunto the king advanced him, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia?"

Esther 10:3 - "For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, . . .

. . . and accepted of the multitude of his brethren:

>> seeking the wealth of (for) his people,

>> and speaking peace

(PEACE - Shalom! in Hebrew is a BIG WORD, all inclusive of health, wealth, being right-with-God-and-neighbor, and family-and-friends, in ALL relationships, with NOTHING missing, NOTHING broken, NOTHING lacking!

"to all his seed"Esther 10:3 (SEED is fellow countrymen, the Jews! His OWN flesh and blood that GOD CHOSE FOR HIM . . .

. . . just like God chose your GENDER, RACE, NATION, and ETHNICITY

Be a SUPER PATRIOT WILLING TO DIE FOR YOUR PEOPLE . . . not for Wealth, fame or prestige . . . but be willing to DIE FOR YOUR COMMON PEOPLE and God may give you ALL THE OTHER TO USE TO HELP YOUR PEOPLE . . .

I do not believe it is possible to 'Know in this life' if one has Eternal Life;
