"Christ's Method of Making Disciples!"

Using GOD'S WORD as the Major Textbook

[1] DO NOT follow the worldly sinful model of Harvard & Yale.

[2] DO NOT spend all of your money on fancy buildings.

[3] DO NOT try to have some "text book" of man's ideas on what to teach for each class. This ALWAYS leads to error, and is expensive for your students.

[4] DO NOT think that learning man’s dusty old books in a dark classroom is the best way to learn - it may be the WORST!

[5] DO AS JESUS DID! Forget many books and a "thousand details that don't matter!" Jesus commanded us "DO NOT STRAIN AT GNATS . . . while swallowing camels!"

[6] Many Bible Schools are worthless . . . as far as advancing the Kingdom of Christ is concerned. . . because they teach MANY WORTHLESS DETAILS that do no good . . .

Teaching many DETAILS that Jesus never explained (or mentioned) do no good . . . but do cause good brethren to DIVIDE . . . all the while SWALLOWING CAMELS - and MISSING all of the WEIGHTIER MATTERS Christ called them to . . .

[7] And they FAIL to teach the MOST IMPORTANT things that Jesus emphasized . . . they FAIL to teach evangelism, winning souls, shepherding, discipling and leadership!

My Fellow-laborers:

You must face the truth! Jesus didn't “build a building” and “spend all of His time hiding out there.”

Jesus didn't "train" His Disciples by spending all of His time “in a room with a Book” - not even the Bible!

Jesus didn't write anything down for His Disciples . . . He taught a few main principles and He EXPECTED them to MEMORIZE THEM ALL!!!!!

We are commanded to HIDE these great teachings in our HEARTS . . . that is to memorize them!

Brother, whatever your ideas of "Bible school" are . . .

> > where did you get them, and

> > who is the role model school you are following?

We are Begging . . . Pleading. . . Urging . . . Imploring . . . Beseeching . . . and Praying that you will . . .“RETHINK” . . . what Bible College is . . . and what it should be!

My Fellow-laborer:

* * * Let the WORD OF GOD be your ONLY text book for all courses related to Ministry!

* * * Not only can your students not AFFORD many text books!

* * * But the WORD OF GOD cannot be improved upon: God is the BEST Author & Theologian!

* * *All of your students ALREADY have a Bible and/or you can get them for free from various agencies

* * * This gives your students a GREAT EDUCATION right in the WORD OF GOD!

* * * Your students learn to understand theology by what they read in God‘s Word, and how to find things in God's Word.

* * * Have your students make notes and references RIGHT IN THEIR BIBLES . . . this way they never lose them.

* * * When your students are done with your Bible School, they should have "WELL-WORN-BIBLES . . . and you may give them a Diploma or Degree, but their REAL DEGREE is their personal WELL-WORN-BIBLE!

* * * In time, Brother, YOU can write a Course outline and/or syllabus, which will make YOU study deeply and make you a better teacher. . . .

. . . ALSO, you can sell the course booklet for a small fee and this will increase your funds for your Ministry or Bible School or whatever.

Here's how using the Word of God as your Major Textbook works:

[A] Teach New Testament Survey out of the Word of God in two parts

> > Gospels & Acts

> > Epistles & Revelation in it's First-Century Context: what did it mean to it's immediate readers! (Don't get lost in the foolish of Hollywood "Left-Behind" series!)

[B] Teach Old Testament Survey out of the Word of God in four parts

> > Genesis through Joseph

> > Law & Moses

> > History of the Kings

> > The Prophets

[C] Life of Christ

[D] Sermon of the Mount: Memorize it! [This is Leadership 101]

[E] Matthew 10: Memorize it [This is Training for Soul winners]

[F] Evangelism: Have students research EVERY place in the New Testament that someone witnessed to another person

> > WHO witnessed to whom?

> > HOW did they witness?

> > What did they REQUIRE to be saved?

> > What did they NOT require?

> > What was the RESULT?

[G] Assign every student to do personal Soul-Winning EVERY WEEK and turn in a FORM to you that you design to meet your needs!

[H] Have a rule that ALL students - whatever they major in - MUST MINOR in Evangelism.

> > This gives them great TRAINING as Jesus did His disciples

> > This makes them great personal SOUL-WINNERS

> > This gives them the correct PRIORITIES!

[I] Book of Acts in two Semesters

> > Acts 1-12 Peter & First Apostles

> > Acts 13-28 Barnabas, Paul & Missions

[J] Each of Paul's Epistles as a Course

[K] Each of the Catholic Epistles as a Course

[L] The Life of Christ: His Priorities

[M] The Parables of Christ

[N] The Power Principles of Christ

[O] The Psychological Principles of Christ

[P] The Leadership Principles of Christ

[Q] The Money Principles of Christ

[R] The Great Commission of Christ

[S] Christ Promised: I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH! What did Jesus mean by "MY Church!"

[T] What was the Church, in Greece, from 800 BC - Jesus AD 30

[U] Gross errors Correcting the Modern Church

You can teach all of these courses from the Word of God alone and many more from Prophecy to the Holy Spirit, to Salvation to Marriage & childrearing.

Start slow, and build your Bible School one-at-a-time. Don’t get in a hurry . . . It is not in the numbers of “spectators” but how well you train a hand-full of disciples.

That’s what Jesus did and that’s what we want you to do.
