Christmas Story Fabulous Fact-6

"WHY O WHY - my 'sexist Brethren' - do we ASSUME these were 'men'?” Please read the following Scripture and you'll see 'MEN" are neither mentioned nor even hinted!

Lu 2:8 And there were in the same country SHEPHERDS ABIDING in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. [Shepherds with spouses, children, parents/grandparents in some cases and Sheep Dogs in all cases!]

Luk 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

Luk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to ALL PEOPLE. [Younger, older, children, grandparents, male & female, poor & rich: ALL!]

Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Lu 2k:12 < strong> And this shall be a SIGN unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in SWADDLING CLOTHES lying in a manger.

The Sign! The research department of NewtonStein asks you to carefully consider the “SIGN” given by the Angels to the Shepherds. First, let’s consider what the SIGN was not:

> > FACT-1: The SIGN was in the ‘STYLE-of-baby‘s-clothes’

> > FACT-2: The SIGN was something that the Shepherds were to be able to DISTINCTLY & POSITIVELY identify,

> > FACT-3: A baby born in a stable and lying in a manger was NOT unique enough to be considered a SIGN - without the swaddling clothes.

> > FACT-4: The Angel COULD HAVE said the SIGN was the ‘kind-of-wood’ used in the manger, or the ‘type-of-manger’, or ‘how-the-stable-was-built’ if it were a wooden stable [such as rafters vs. trusses for our day] or ‘or the kind of stone, if the stable were dug out of the rock [which has about a 90% probability], or a manger held together with ‘wooden-dowels’, ‘wedge-pins’, ‘dove-tails’, ‘metal-nails’ etc., ALL things that MEN would be more likely to identify with certainty more than women would.

> > FACT-5: However, the Angel on assignment from Almighty God, did say the SIGN would be a baby wrapped in ‘SWADDLING CLOTHES’.

Now we at NewtonStein realize it is a bit presumptive to declare that men in general are not the ‘Family Experts’ on newborn baby clothing, but the TRUTH is, men in general are not the ‘Family Experts’ on newborn baby clothing, This is just the way it is!

> > If your Church announces a ‘Baby Shower’ in the fellowship hall next Saturday, who will likely show up: Church men OR Church Ladies?

> > If your Church announces a ‘Sewing Club’ in the fellowship hall next Saturday, to MAKE CLOTHES for new-born BABIES overseas, who will likely show up: Church men OR Church Ladies?

> > If your Church announces a ‘Clothing Drive’ for new-born BABIES - to visit all the Thrift Shops to find good, used clothes for new-borns’ next Saturday, who will likely show up: Church men OR Church Ladies?

> > If your Church announces a ‘Shopping Spree’ for new-born BABIES - to visit all the stores with Baby-Clothes, see what’s on sale, purchase and meet at the fellowship hall next Saturday to wrap for gifts for Christmas, who will likely show up: Church men OR Church Ladies?

> > If your Church announces a ‘Newborn Baby Care Class’ to meet at the fellowship hall next Saturday to learn how to diaper newborns, taking care to clean the umbilical cord, treat diaper sores, use of pampers, pampers with wings, clothe diapers, etc., for all who want to work in the Church nursery and assist mothers of new-babies, who will likely show up: Church men OR Church Ladies?

Now we at NewtonStein have admitted to SOME degree presumption in this issue, but we CANNOT be certain. We CANNOT BE SURE that it would be MOSTLY FEMALES: girls, teens, young mothers, mother-wanna-be’s- grandmothers and other women at YOUR CHURCH who would show-up for the above stated meetings.

Now it could be the men in YOUR CHURCH all wear lip-gloss, have manicured fingernails with polish, have ‘Soft-Hands’ without a trace of a callous or stain or cuts & scars from hard-labor - have dish-pan-hands even ; if they go to female hair-stylists, shave their whole face smooth like a woman, sing tenor in the choir & cry at movies; if these are YOUR CHURCH MEN they MAY show up most at the mentioned newborn baby meetings - FROM YOUR CHURCH! {and YOU NEED A NEW CHURCH! Effeminate men are GROSSLY SINFUL! I Cor 6.9)

However, at most Churches throughout the world, men are MEN - and few of them would show up for the mentioned newborn baby meetings. That’s just how it is!

Few men the world work in baby nurseries at the hospitals or the Church nurseries, few teach kindergarten, run day care centers or are the family expert in newborn clothing styles. That’s just how it is!

And in most societies throughout the world, if an ANGEL appears to ANYONE about ANYTHING and gives them an IMPORTANT, DEFINITIVE “SIGN” having to do with out-dated [swaddling clothes hadn’t been commonly used in Israel for over 525 years dating back to when Jews were slaves in captivity in Babylon: ‘See SWADDLING CLOTHES’] newborn-baby clothes . . .

. . . such Angels are talking to WOMEN! That’s just how it is!

Think about it! Angels talking to MEN-who-live-out-of-doors-about-a-certain-STYLE of BABY CLOTHES!

Do you remember the father-in-law of Moses, Jethro, and his many daughters who were shepherds of his flocks? Zipporah - the wife of Moses was a shepherd.

In fact, there are still Lady Shepherds in those very fields this day, keeping watch over their flocks. Their “tradition” is to wear huge BLACK bonnets, and long BLACK Robes, with big white collars / sashes - not unlike the typical Church choir robe & collar / sash, etc.

Thus they are easily recognized as Lady Shepherds from quite a distance and it is known that they usually have quite a “pack of well-trained Sheep Dogs” - meaner than American junk-yard dogs!” They are respected by all and left alone.

BUT DOES IT MATTER, you may ask?

“YES! EXTREMELY!”

. . . blind to the facts of Jesus Christ being the GREAT egalitarian who ever walked the Earth and the FIRST PLACE EVER IN PRINT - that women & men are EQUAL before DEITY - is the New Testament of JESUS CHRIST!

However, in EVERY grade-school classroom, in EVERY high-school classroom, in EVERY college classroom, in almost EVERY magazine, EVERY newspaper, EVERY television & radio event, and in many organizations of all kinds: CHRIST & Christianity are ASSAULTED for making FEMALES SECOND CLASS!

By the time they become mature married women and mothers in our Churches they have been POISONED AGAINST any kind of male leadership

[ 1 ] Since SCRIPTURE DOES NOT SAY the Shepherds were male!

[ 2 ] Since SCRIPTURE DOES NOT EVEN HINT the Shepherds were male!

[ 3 ] Since SCRIPTURE DOES NOT GIVE ANY REASON to assume & assert the Shepherds were male!

[ 4 ] And since the sociology of the Bedouins Shepherds and SCRIPTURE DO GIVE GREAT INDICATION the Shepherds were LADY SHEPHERDS!

[ 5 ] WHY NOT teach that these were WERE LADY SHEPHERDS?
