Note of Understanding Our "Council of Elders" - as we read of in the New Testament - is the true authority of Cambridge Theological Seminary. Their advice has Scriptural authority rather than a legal worldly Authority. Thus we make decisions from their trusted advice, and not by a "Corporate Board of Directors."
We at Cambridge Theological Seminary do not copy the world. We do not pattern "Harvard and Yale". We have neither CEO's, or 'Chairman of the Board' like General Motors and General Electric. We have neither President, Chancellor, nor Vice-President, like worldly governments and State Universities commonly do.
Likewise, we do not seek the world's permission, approval, appreciation, or acceptance. Neither do we do use their "Language". Furthermore, we neither seek - nor accept - their grants, loans, or gifts.
Our "major hope" for increased Ministry is NOT seeking money from an anti-Christ, government - compromising our Christian and Scriptural stand . . . while watering-down the Message of Jesus Christ. Pleading their approval and accepting their crumbs - is not acceptable.
Abraham, the Father of the faithful - [and ALL who belong to Christ are his seed! Galatians 3] - refused the money from the pagans and sodomites! So do we!
So, dear fellow-Laborer instead of fancy worldly secular titles, we are Family, Brothers/Sisters, Ministers, Deacons, Elders, Soul-Winners, Teachers, Pastors, Evangelists, Pastors, Apostle/Missionaries, Bishops, Scribes, Doctors, . . . we are not "CEO's", Corporate Directors, Presidents, Chancellors, Chairmen and Board Members.
We reject all forms of secular worldliness, worldly terminology, worldly models, and renounce all "looking toward Sodom" for ideas and approval, whatever that may be.
We believe God gave to all of humanity - through the Word of God and Christ Jesus - the legal and governmental structure He wanted us to have, so that is what we use, and we leave the secular worldly names, and structures to the secular, worldly Churches, and Schools.
