Court Finds Him: "Guilty!"

Duh... He did Survive the Plane Crash and live to be ... tried!

Thus he has been prosecuted for criminal negligence. The trial ended today. He was sentenced to 10 years in jail by an Italian court along with his co-pilot.

The 2005 crash at sea off Sicily left survivors swimming for their lives, some clinging to a piece of the fuselage that remained floating after the ATR turbo-prop aircraft splintered upon impact. Sadly, 16 people lost their lives.

Prosecutors also said the pilot succumbed to panic, praying out loud instead of following emergency procedures and then opting to crash-land the plane instead trying to reach a nearby airport.

COMMENTARY

This news commentator REJECTS that decision categorically and with anger!

The plane was spitting and sputtering, and evidence shows the fuel system was malfunctioning, as even the prosecutors admitted in court.

The truth is, if the pilot with all of the experience (the air -traffic controllers had none!) was certain the plane was going to crash, that he was NOT going to make it to the airport, it was much wiser to land on water than to crash and explode on land - where almost everyone always die.

That many people lived is great evidence of his wisdom. The truth is, had the passengers properly used their flotation devices, or been able to swim, etc., perhaps fewer would have lost their lives.

This court decision was a blatant ATTACK on God, prayers and a theistic world view. I am certain they hate CHRIST as well.This pilot needs an award for quick thinking and a wise decision.

He also needs rewarded for even caring enough to pray.

My only wish is that he were in the USA, close enough to protest, call the court, raised funds for defense and of need be - 'Bust him out of jail!'
