All preachers have preached to forgive all others and almost all claim to do so. Sadly, in over 55 years - most days listening to Christian radio 12-18 hours a day, as well as attending conferences and revivals by the hundreds - and I have never heard a teaching on the following command of Jesus: * * "First be RECONCILED to they brother!" Christianity is not about forgiving, it is about reconciling! This is a great Secret of Jesus and His leadership teaching! [1] Do you preach and teach reconciliation? [2] Do you personally practice reconciliation? [3] Do you insist your church family be reconciled and not allow them to be estranged? Below are some scriptures of reconciliation. Mat 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be RECONCILED to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were RECONCILED to God by the death of his Son, much more, being RECONCILED, we shall be saved by his life. 1 Cor 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be RECONCILED to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath RECONCILED us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Cor 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye RECONCILED to God.
