"First be Reconciled to thy Brother" Matt 5.24
Leadership Principle, Commanded by Jesus Christ
One of the Greatest Truths We All Miss! > Everyone agrees we are supposed to forgive all who ask us, > We all profess to do this, > We all say we do not hold grudges, etc., etc., However, all over the Christian world there are severed relationships" between Christians, where BOTH PARTIES claim they have forgiven 100% with "no hard feelings" . . . yet there is no communication and no more relationship, much less fellowship. All preachers have preached to forgive all others and almost all claim to do so. Sadly, in over 55 years - most days listening to Christian radio 12-18 hours a day, as well as attending conferences and revivals by the hundreds - and I have never heard a teaching on the following command of Jesus: * * "First be RECONCILED to they brother!" Christianity is not about forgiving, it is about reconciling! This is a great Secret of Jesus and His leadership teaching! [1] Do you preach and teach reconciliation? [2] Do you personally practice reconciliation? [3] Do you insist your church family be reconciled and not allow them to be estranged? Below are some scriptures of reconciliation. Mat 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be RECONCILED to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were RECONCILED to God by the death of his Son, much more, being RECONCILED, we shall be saved by his life. 1 Cor 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be RECONCILED to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath RECONCILED us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Cor 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye RECONCILED to God. Eph 2:16 And that he might RECONCILE both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to RECONCILE all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he RECONCILED Leviticus 6:30 And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to RECONCILE withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire. 1 Samuel 29:4 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow (David, future King of Israel) return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he RECONCILE himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men? > > To bring together David and King Saul, to united them, removing-&-resolving whatever separated them to start with Ezekiel 45:20 And so thou shalt do the seventh day of the month for every one that erreth, and for him that is simple: so shall ye RECONCILE the house. Matthew 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be RECONCILED to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were RECONCILED to God by the death of his Son, much more, being RECONCILED, we shall be saved by his life. 1co 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be RECONCILED to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 2co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath RECONCILED us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye RECONCILED to God. Eph 2:16 And that he might RECONCILE both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby *: Col 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to RECONCILE all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Col 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he RECONCILED
