I would be glad to tell you more about the church.  I would be glad to tell you more about the church. Our Church is located in the basement of our home. Although it is in a house, the anointing and presence of Jesus is felt. Our Church is set up like a Church in a large building. We wanted to present our best to God, therefore, the church has pews, podium and platform, ministers/pastors chairs in the pulpit area, organ, keyboard, etc. The size of a Church is not what is important but it is winning souls. We were not able to afford a large public building, but we said that "we are going to use what God has blessed us with, and let our focus be on the souls, and not the size.
Our Church was started in November of 1990 and incorporated in 1991. Services were held in the basement of the first location also. Sometimes we have services in different areas at community centers.
* * We make sure that we are available for those that may need prayer or counseling. Someone is always ready to answer the telephone 24/7. * * We have mainly been doing Outreach Evangelism such as street ministry which consists of distributing bibles, tracts, letters and talking to the people about salvation. We do not have a lot of members, but we mainly have visitors. I feel that God is the Head of the Church, that we want to do more, and we are preparing to really get out there on the field and work harder.
* * We have Sunday Services and Wednesday bible study weekly. The word is taught from the King James Version Bible. * * We don’t just read the bible, but we study it and be sure that the people understand exactly what Jesus expects from confessing Christians. * * We have End-Times Bible Classes which consist of explaining how the events taking place in the world relates to bible prophecies. * * We also have Christian Living Classes offered for the ones who are just starting a relationship with Jesus. We teach them how to carry themselves as Christians such as giving up the world to follow Jesus. They are informed of the possibilities of family and friends turning against them because of their decision to follow Christ. They are taught the importance of standing up for Jesus even if they have to stand alone. * * We are also known as the “King Family Gospel Singers.” We sing at tent revivals, churches, rest homes, etc. We try to keep ourselves busy working for Jesus. * * Children’s Church is an important ministry within the Church. The children are encouraged to seek Jesus. They are taught the steps to salvation and the importance of having Jesus in their lives as their personal Saviour. * * The children are trained for work as a Missionary. They are told the importance of reaching out to others by sharing the love of Jesus. They participate with distributing tracts, gospel letters, etc. * * They are trained how to prepare meals for the less fortunate. * * They are trained in first aid so that they will know what to do in an emergency situation. * *Church on Wheels is another important ministry at the church. We visit people’s homes that are not able to attend church regularly due to illness, etc. During these visitations we pray, have bible study and testimony service, and sing. We leave it open for the Holy Ghost to have control. * *Now I will tell some of the beliefs that we have. BELIEFS:> > We believe that Pastors, Evangelists, Ministers, Missionaries - all who have the title of being Christian - should be true holy people not just saying "I am Christian", but living like a Christian should live according to the Bible. > > We are to be examples so that others will see Christ in our lives and glorify our Father. > > We believe that our personalities, the way we behave towards others says a lot about out Christian walk with Jesus. > > We are to be kind toward everyone. > > We believe and teach Salvation which includes sanctification and receiving of the Holy Ghost. > > We teach water baptism. We believe and teach everything according to the Holy Bible. > > We have communion according to scripture. We believe in healing and laying on of hands. > > We believe in the use of anointed holy oil.
In conclusion, we reach out to everyone regardless of their race. We are all one family in the body of Christ and are made in his image.
