ETERNAL QUESTION:
But “HOW” can we know - that “WE CAN” KNOW - this side of the Grave - that we have Eternal Life?BECAUSE God's Word - in ALL 500 versions from Roman Catholic to Jehovah's Witnesses - say we can KNOW!Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; THAT YE MAY KNOW, that ye have eternal life!" We find the 'purpose of God - that we may KNOW - in writing this Scripture' this in First John, one the earliest and smallest Gospel, and perhaps the most wide-spread of all the New Testament Writings, of all the ages. NOTE: God states explicitly what he wants us to KNOW, that we do have ETERNAL LIFE! > > Repeat-I: GOD WANTS US TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE! - NOT just forgiveness of sins, repentance, peace of mind, a 'good-feeling' and a relationship with Him; > > Repeat-II: GOD WANTS US TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE! - NOT just a certificate of baptism, communion, conformation, and/or full-Church membership, > > Repeat-III: GOD WANTS US TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE! - NOT just a new birth, a conversion, an 'Experience' - receive Gifts of the Holy Spirit - a healing, or any other 'spiritual experience'; > > Repeat one more time: GOD WANTS US TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE! - NOT just a 'TASTE' of eternal Life . . . or a 'HOPE' of Eternal Life . . . BUT A "K-N-O-W-I-N-G-! that we have - 'Here-&-Now' - the REAL THING: ETERNAL LIFE!" PLEASE UNDERSTAND: This writer is NOT discounting ANY of the just-mentioned factors, from baptism to peace of mind to physical healing: but will you FACE-the-FOLLOWING FACTS? FACT-A: If we Do ALL the Church things, and have ALL of the experiences - and DON'T GET ETERNAL LIFE - what do the Church-things, experiences, gifts & healings & hoping-for-eternal-life - matter LONG TERM? FACT-B: (The inverse of Fact-A) AS LONG AS WE GET ETERNAL LIFE - even if we don't get all of the church things or experiences mentioned - what does it matter LONG TERM? FACT-C: THIS LIFE, is all about getting ETERNAL LIFE, for the rest of your life: which is forever & ever & ever & ever! 1 John 5:13'"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life." We must read this, and read this, and read this, UNTIL WE BELIEVE GOD [instead of whoever is putting doubt in your mind!] - UNTIL WE KNOW that it is POSSIBLE to KNOW, that we do have Eternal Life! We must read this until we understand, that GOD WANTS TO KNOW . . . that "ANYONE" can know, that "EVERYONE" can know . . . that they do have - here-&-now - 'Eternal Life from God', that He gives it to them, and it lasts FOREVER (that's why it's called ETERNAL!). God doesn't give you HEAVENLY LIFE that only lasts till YOU LOSE IT! If it's from God, IT IS ETERNAL! If it's NOT ETERNAL, it's not from God! Thus WE DON'T KNOW we have Eternal Life because 'We Feel Like It!'Rather than 'Human Experience', our KNOWING of Eternal LIFE is by GOD'S INFALLIBLE WORD!Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? In KNOWING that IT IS POSSIBLE to KNOW (Because God says we can know) that we do have Eternal Life, it is very important for us to KNOW that it is NOT based on HOW WE FEEL IN OUR HEART! In fact, God knew that MOST OF US would "NOT FEEL" like we had Eternal Life, and that because our inner-most being - our heart - KNOWS ALL OF OUR SIN, our own heart would CONDEMN US BEFORE GOD! So to make sure we did not allow NEGATIVE FEELINGS to block our "K-N-O-W-I-N-G" the Apostle John assures in the same little Gospel! 1 John 3.20"For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart! . . ." So Scripture teaches us we DON'T GO by how our HEART feels! Scripture teaches us we DON'T GO by what our GUT tells us! (instinct tells us we are UNWORTHY, not good enough, and haven't done enough to earn it!) Scripture teaches us we DON'T GO by what our MIND thinks you are UNWORTHY OF! Therefore God says to one and all before we were ever born: DON'T LET YOUR HEART "CONDEMN YOU" for reasons past, present or future! WHY? Because GOD is much greater than a negative-feeling, pessimistic human-heart - which is up and down in feelings - and God WANTS US TO KNOW and have this ASSURANCE "ALL-DAY, EVERY-DAY, until the FINAL-DAY!"" Isn't it Great how God arranged our Salvation? We must read this . . . and read this . . . and re-read this . . . UNTIL WE KNOW that it is POSSIBLE - that ANYONE & EVERYONE "CAN KNOW" - that God Himself says He WANTS US TO KNOW, that we have this 'God-given-Life', that He gives it to us, and it lasts FOREVER! That's why its called ETERNAL LIFE, and EVERLASTING LIFE! ETERNAL! TEACH THIS TO OTHERS! An excellent way to get a new concept well-understood is to explain it to someone - what God Word says in I John!! It is 'UP TO US' to decide - if WE BELIEVE God's Guarantee that we CAN KNOW and that He WANTS US TO KNOW!"IF" You believe we CAN know, and God's WANTS us to KNOW, You are ready to KNOW: "HOW!"Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? Salvation is very, very, very, very simple! Jesus simply asks all of us ONE QUESTION: > > > 1] “Whom do YOU say that I AM?” Mat 16.15 Jesus asks of us ‘just this one question’ & He accepts from us ‘just this one answer’: a very ‘straight (tight)-gate & narrow way’ answer! The answer that saves is the following one! > > > 2] “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.“ There can be no hedging, no fudging & no maybe’s, no if’s, and’s or but's . . . no ‘possibly sure, practically sure, pretty sure, or probably sure! WE MUST BELIEVE THIS! DOUBT is anything from 1% to 99.99% sure! > > > 3] Jesus conversely declares: “If you BELIEVE NOT that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.” John 8.24 > > > 4] BELIEVING Jesus is the CHRIST - saves & gives ETERNAL LIFE! ‘For God so loved the WHOLE WORLD that He gave His Only-Begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER ‘BELIEVETH in Him’ should not perish but have everlasting life!’ John 3.16 ‘He that BELIEVETH on him is not condemned:’ John 3.18 ‘He that BELIEVETH on the Son hath everlasting life:’ John 3.36 > > > 5] Satan seeks to COMPLICATE & CONFUSE Salvation by trying to make the word BELIEVE . . . . . .mean everything EXCEPT BELIEVE, that it means ALL KINDS OF THINGS like to ‘do this’ & ‘do that‘, to ‘be this’ & ‘be that‘ . . . . . . . . that BELIEVING JESUS-is-the-CHRIST SECRETLY INCLUDES believing in a literal hell-fire, a personal devil, the virgin birth, a particular version of Scripture is every-word inspired, in faith-healing, in speaking-in-tongues, in the RAPTURE (that is not even in Scripture) in the TRINITY (which no one can define) in a particular version of BAPTISM, in a particular understanding of COMMUNION, in Deacons & Bishops or lack thereof & on & on & on it goes! > > > 6] But BELIEVING is very, very, very simple! There are NOT 2, 3, or 4 kinds of `believing, there’s just ONE kind of BELIEVING. FURTHERMORE, Believing does NOT mean ONE thing in the world, and ANOTHER THING when applied to Jesus! > > > 7] But Jesus did NOT invent some new word, or change its common everyday meaning. Jesus chose a very simple word that EVERYBODY knows and EVERYBODY uses all the time. BELIEVE! EXAMPLES of what the words BELIEVE means: > A] Who do YOU believe the Greatest American President is? ________________ > B] Who do YOU believe the Greatest Nation of the World is? ________________ > C] Who do YOU believe the Greatest Mother in the world is? ________________ > D] Who do YOU believe the True Christ of God is? ______________________
BELIEVING ALONE SAVES! > > Nothing MORE! > > Nothing LESS! > > Nothing ELSE! This is the most repeated statement in Scripture by far, repeated over 200 times - to MAKE SURE we don’t miss it. In answer to Jesus' one question "Whom do you say that I am?" - If your answer is that you do believe "Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God!" - you do have eternal life, now and forever more. Never doubt it! Never deny it! Never debate it! JUST ANSWER AS JESUS ANSWERED: "It is written: Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God! Whosoever believeth in me shall never die! Let's see What BELIEVING actually Means in REAL LIFE!Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? This 2-minute exercise is said to help ‘CLARIFY BELIEVING for SALVATION to the greatest degree! Please read carefully! What is your answer to the question: ”Who is the greatest American President?“ My answer is George W. Bush, BECAUSE he has professed JESUS BY NAME from the beginning, Professed Jesus to be his Saviour, Professed Jesus delivered him from alcoholism, Professed Jesus is his Greatest Philosopher whom he looks to the most on National TV Presidential Debates, was brave enough to declare an Annual “Celebrate Jesus Day’ in Texas, and much more; - that he has done the right thing INSTEAD of the popular thing - ALL while being the most criticized president in all of American history: mocked, hated & cursed by our modern, foul-mouthed & vulgar generation who not only HATES BUSH, but Jesus as well! [ I ] LET’S CONSIDER what it means that I BELIEVE G. W. Bush is the Great President? > > > 1] Does it mean I have to give him MONEY? “NO!” > > > 2] Does it mean I have to CAMPAIGN for him? “NO!” > > > 3] Does it mean I have to VOTE for him? “NO!” > > > 4] Does it mean I have to join a SOCIETY that Promotes Him? “NO!” > > > 5] Does it mean I have to PRAISE him to every person I meet? “NO!” > > > 6] Does it mean I have to CONVINCE every friend, every chance I get? “NO!” > > > 7] Does it mean I have to THANK him in person or in public? “NO!” > > > 8] Does it mean I have to DEFEND HIM when I hear him FALSELY ACCUSED? “NO!” > > > 9] Does it mean I have to put a BUMPER STICKER on my car? “NO!” > > > 10] Does it mean I have to wear HIS NAME of my clothes? “NO!” > > > 11] Does it mean I have to put HIS WANTS & NEEDS before my own? “NO!” > > > 12] Does it mean I have to TALK TO HIM every day? “NO!” > > > 13] Does it mean I have to READ EVERY THING HE WRITES? “NO!” > > > 14] Does it mean I have to AGREE with EVERYTHING he says? “NO!” > > > 15] Does it mean I have to LOVE him MORE than FAMILY? “NO!” > > > 16] Does it mean I have to LOVE him at all? “NO!” > > > 17] Does it mean I have to believe he is the SMARTEST President ever? “NO!” > > > 18] Does it mean I have to TRY TO BE LIKE HIM? “NO!” > > > 19] Does it mean I have to KNOW him REALLY WELL? “NO!” > > > 20] Does it mean I have to be willing to DIE FOR HIM? “NO!” The truth is, President Bush - or any president - would LIKE for "BELIEVERS" to do ALL of these things,Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? The TRUTH is, President Bush would LIKE for me - [and any President would like for ALL “BELIEVERS”] - to do ALL of these things - and in general, THE MORE ONE WILL DO, THE BETTER - but NO ONE must do these things in order to be a “BELIEVER-ONLY”! The TRUTH is additionally, that some of these 20 things a BELIEVER SHOULD do simply because it’s the ‘Right & Honorable’ thing for a BELIEVER to do - like defend the ‘One-Believed-In’ when falsely accused - but the BELIEVER doesn’t have to! HOWEVER, it is indisputable, irrefutable and unquestionable, that NONE OF THESE are required for me to BELIEVE G. W. is the ALL-TIME Greatest American President! FURTHERMORE, I don’t have to become a REGISTERED REPUBLICAN, or even be an AMERICA CITIZEN to BELIEVE he is the Greatest of American Presidents! Do you see how simple & clear “BELIEVING” is? Likewise, all of these things that apply to my BELIEVING G. W. Bush is the Greatest President, apply to my BELIEVING that JESUS IS THE CHRIST! BELIEVING ALONE SAVES! Nothing MORE! Nothing LESS! Nothing ELSE! > > MAJOR POINT: < < Many get confused, by taking all of the HUNDREDS of SCRIPTURES that urge us to DO ALL OF THESE THINGS for Christ - because we love Him, and MAKE THEM REQUIREMENTS FOR BELIEVING! MAKE NO MISTAKE about it: Jesus does want us TO DO ALL of these things - and even more - but these ‘factors involving commitment & service’ are ALL part of DISCIPLESHIP - and have “NOTHING” to do with believing to SALVATION! Understanding the Distinction between “Believers” & “Disciples”Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? font color="blue"> [ II ] NOW LET’S CONSIDER what it means if I COMMIT TO BECOMING a “G.W. Bush DISCIPLE" and am "APPROVED" by him! If I decide to GO BEYOND BELIEVING and commit to becoming a “Personal Disciple of G. W. Bush, this is ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT from simply choosing him as my “all-Time Greatest President!” that is to simply have a BELIEF, which requires NOTHING except BELIEVING! HOWEVER, to become his PERSONAL DISCIPLE is 100% DIFFERENT! Committing to becoming His Disciple means he has the right to set any requirements he wants. He may choose a dozen of the 20 mentioned items, or less, and may even add more: > > He may REQUIRE me to attend a training seminar! > > He may REQUIRE me to sign a commitment sheet! > > He may REQUIRE me to use certain PHRASES or WORDS that express his administration. > > He may REQUIRE me to commit to so many hours monthly volunteering at His Campaign Headquarters. Do you see the HUGE DIFFERENCE in BELIEVING G.W. Bush the Greatest President, CONTRASTED WITH becoming a ‘Personal Disciple’! This is not difficult to understand, and I have taught it to grade school kids of ages 10 & 12 with NO PROBLEM! However, I’ve had College Professors with multiple Ph. D’s in Bible get COMPLETELY CONFUSED - BECAUSE they had jumbled everything in ‘one bag of REQUIREMENTS’ for EVERYTHING - making no distinction between Christ calling to: > > A] Salvation, > > B] Discipleship, > > C] Full-Time-Calling& Service [pastor, evangelist, etc.] > > D] Apostleship [Foreign missionary] > > E] Even Martyrdom! Can you see the huge, incredibly large difference among these offices in the Body of Christ? Twelve-year-old children can become AMAZINGLY sincere Believers and even were used as EXAMPLES when Jesus said we should become like them. Jesus had massive multitudes of “BELIEVERS” so says in the Bible, and BELIEVERS are those who CHOOSE to BELIEVE in Christ. DISCIPLES are the OPPOSITE of BELIEVERS in this manner! DISCIPLES are NOT those who ‘ACCEPT JESUS’ - but rather - those BELIEVERS whom JESUS ACCEPTS-APPROVES-&-APPOINTS!. Let’s let the Scriptures speak for themselves” > > 1] Jesus said: Ye have not CHOSEN me, but I have CHOSEN you,/strong> and ordained (accepted-approved-appointed) you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, Joh 15:16 > > 2] Jesus said So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few CHOSEN. Mat 20:16 > > 3] Jesus said Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are CHOSEN. > > 4] Jesus said Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had APPOINTED them. Mat 28:16 > > 5] Jesus said After these things the Lord APPOINTED other seventy also, . Luk 10:1 > > 6] Jesus said Have not I CHOSEN you twelve, and one of you is a devil? Now Let's Consider from BELIEVERS & DISCIPLESHIP to FULL-TIME CALLING!Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? [ III ] NOW LET’S CONSIDER what it means - “IF” I am CHOSEN TO BECOME a “G. W. Bush FULL-TIME STAFF PERSON” on his payroll - and the FURTHER COMMITMENT I must make! Surely, you see that if I commit to become a FULL-TIME-STAFF MEMBER, OFFICIALLY & LEGALLY REPRESENTING President Bush for pay, . . . that this is ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT from simply being his PERSONAL DISCIPLE-OFFICIAL VOLUNTEER CAMPAIGN WORKER in some little back-woods town, . . . which is ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT from simply BELIEVING that he is the Great President ever - deep in the PRIVACY & QUIETNESS of my heart! This is SO SIMPLE! Grade school kids DO GET IT, and so do people who can’t even read & write. Don’t PROJECT your ideas, Church tradition, upbringing, and preconceived ideas into it. Just ALLOW Scripture - Allow Jesus in His Own Words SPEAK for themselves! PREFACE to the “Two Statements” WHY am I emphasizing the differences among “Believers”, “Disciples” & “Full-Time-Callings-who-live-off-the-Gospel” for YOU to understand, when ALL you REALLY want to know is ‘HOW TO KNOW YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE FOR SURE! Statement-1 There are 500 different Denominations in the USA, who ALL USE the same Bible, who all Believe in the same Jesus: Yet they ALL offer a DIFFERENT WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE! How can this be? > > We ALL live in the same country! > > We ALL speak the same language! > > We ALL learn to read in the same schools! > > We ALL come to agreement on what the LAW says, what our RIGHTS say, what the IRS says, what the DICTIONARY says > > We DON'T HAVE 500 different versions of filling out Income Taxes according to the IRS code, and it is MUCH bigger than the Bible and even has conflicting & redundant sections. > > So WHY DO WE HAVE 500 different versions of 'How to have Eternal Life Through Jesus? [This is AMAZING actually, it's not like we are from 500 different countries, or speak 500 different languages, or use 500 different Bibles, or recognize 500 different Saviours!] Statement-2 MUCH of the reason for there being 500 CONFUSING, CONTRADICTING, CRITICIZING, CONDEMNING, & COMPETING ways to Eternal Life - is because they fail to understand the difference in these relationships with Christ, and the DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS for them! Furthermore, there are even DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS for Deacons, Elders, Bishops, etc. "IF" you apply ONLY what is said about ETERNAL LIFE, TO ETERNAL LIFE and not confused this with HUNDREDS of REQUIREMENTS for all of these other positions, you will easily understand! How FAR you want to go with CHRIST is up to you! That's why He OFFERS REWARDS, in addition to GIVING Eternal Life as a FREE GIFT TO ALL who believe!Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? Isn't this simple? Read it several times, study the references, and you may be able to HELP YOUR PASTOR-PREACHER get over the confusion! “YOU” - must personally decide YOUR COMMITMENT to Christ as you GROW over the years . . . starting as a 'Baby-Believer': > > A] Whether you willingly become HIS PERSONAL DISCIPLE - taking volunteer leadership in your home town; > > B] Whether you willingly commit to DEDICATING YOUR WHOLE LIFE to full-time Christian service; or > > C] Whether you someday WILLINGLY BECOME A Foreign Mission and/or MARTYR for His Name & His Cause > > D] OR whether you remain a ‘BASIC BELIEVER’ as long as you live! The FIRST & FOREMOST IMPORTANT foundation for you to understand is this: BELIEVING that JESUS IS THE CHRIST: SAVES & gives eternal life! [I] Gaining a ‘MARTYR’S CROWN of LIFE’ is earned by Blood Sweat & Tears! [II] RULING & REIGNING with Christ is EARNED by works, Faithfulness & Sacrifice, [III] Eternal life is a FREE GIFT given to ALL WHO BELIEVE Jesus is the CHRIST! BELIEVING ALONE SAVES! > Nothing MORE is required! > > Nothing LESS is accepted! > > > Nothing ELSE can be substituted! Even if such Believers NEVER do any of the 20-listed things for Jesus! “NOT” BELIEVING ALONE CONDEMN & DAMNS! hr> > Nothing MORE is required! > > Nothing LESS is enough! > > > Nothing ELSE can do it! Even if such UN-Believers DO ALL of the 20-listed things for Jesus! [Just a few Scriptures showing UNBELIEF DAMNS !] ** but he that believeth not shall be DAMNED Mrk 16.16 ** he that believeth not is CONDEMNED already, Joh 3:18 ** because he HATH NOT BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Joh 3:18 ** he that BELIEVETH not the Son shall NOT see life; ** and he that doubteth is DAMNED Rom 14:23 ** and (Jesus) will appoint him his portion with the UNBELIEVERS. Luk 12.46 He that heareth my word, and BELIEVEth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into CONDEMNATION, Joh 5:24 SO, Let's finish understanding Eternal Life right where we started in I John 5:13Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? SO, Let's finish understanding Eternal Life right where we started: Note here, that God is NOT addressing sinners that they need to believe. Rather, God is addressing those who DO BELIEVE! Let’s break it down: > [1] These things have I written unto you > [2] that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God; > [3] that ye may KNOW > [4] that ye have ETERNAL LIFE! You will meet other believers from time to time - probably family and friends! -who will disagree violently with you. “Open their eyes” if you can, but if they CHOOSE to live in fear & doubt - not knowing that they ALREADY HAVE Eternal Life - this does not mean thy are not saved. These are the people God is writing to above: people who DO BELIEVE, but they DO NOT KNOW that this believing is the FULL-REQUIREMENT: Believing alone begats Eternal Life and we SHOULD KNOW this Great Truth You will meet other believers from time to time - probably family and friends! -who will disagree violently with you. declaring ‘believing alone cannot save! Faith without works is DEAD!’ Here’s our classic two-part answer. PART-A: An answer based on simple logic is clear: “Yes! Faith without works is DEAD - but it is still REAL FAITH! > > .The wood in my house is ALL DEAD, but it is STILL wood, STILL real, STILL useful, and STILL valuable. The point is about DEAD FAITH is that it DOES NOT REPRODUCE ITSELF, just as the trees used in my house will not reproduce themselves. > > “For by Grace are ye saved through FAITH!” That’s all God says! Not living faith, not dead faith, not new faith, old faith, strong faith or weak faith: JUST FAITH! P-E-R-I-O-D > > “Open their eyes” if you can, but if they CHOOSE to live in judging others instead of sharing their GREAT NEWS & WINNING SOULS, they’ll have to answer to God for that! He tells us EXACTLY what doing HIS WORK is: In John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye BELIEVE on him whom he hath sent (Jesus speaking of Himself!). The last bit of God’s Great Simplicity is grand: There is only ONE time in our 1500 page Bible where the question is asked Point-Blank:: > > >“What MUST I do to be SAVED?” Acts 16.30 > > > “And they said, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,” Ac 16:31 This is the Apostle Paul answering who wrote over half the whole New Testament! If he doesn’t know the answer there is NO HOPE for anyone! The whole message of the Gospel of salvation is EXACTLY as Paul said: BELIEVING ALONE SAVES! > > Nothing MORE! > > Nothing LESS! > > Nothing ELSE! Is this different from how you were raised, thought or taught?Is It Possible TO KNOW For CERTAIN that I Have Eternal Life? There is NO WAY for us to know - if you are a 'Theologian with a Ph.D. teaching Religion in an Ivy League University Graduate School‘, a 'High-School Graduate or Drop-Out' struggling to read the Bible as your Very First Book, or somewhere in between. This is being written as if writing to my Dearest Mother, or Precious Son: simple, down-to-Earth, & PLAIN! [ 1 ] FIRSTLY you must realize the ONLY WAY ANYONE can know ANYTHING about God FOR SURE is through His Written Word. There is no other source. [ 2 ] SECONDLY you must realize, it THEREFORE does not matter what ANYONE says-or-thinks: NEITHER our parents, our grandparents, our Church-family, our best-friends, our college-Bible School-or-Seminary, NOR spouse, children, or favorite preacher; neither my personal thoughts nor YOURS, neither my favorite reasoning & logic nor YOURS, NOR anyone's "FEELINGS." ALL that matters is absolute: "What does GOD specifically & clearly SAY FOR HIMSELF!" [ 3 ] THIRDLY God specifically says for Himself "That we may be IGNORANT about many things regarding Him, Heaven, Hell, etc., etc., BUT THERE IS ONE THING God says we must not be ignorant of: "Beloved, be NOT ignorant of this ONE THING! . . . that God (our Father in Heaven), is longsuffering, and NOT WILLING that any should perish! II Pet 3.8-9 So FORGET ANY thoughts you have ever had - or heard - that God has certain ones that He does not want to be saved, or that He only wants a few saved! HE GREATLY DESIRES FOR EVERYONE TO BE SAVED! That is the 'One Great Truth' God says we MUST not be ignorant of! [ 4 ] Everyone knows John 3:16, but John 3:17 is equal in magnitude, or even better! God Himself says He DOES NOT WANT to CONDEMN the World, but He sent His Son that the WHOLE WORLD might be saved! For God sent NOT His Son into the World to CONDEMN the World but THAT THE WORLD - Through Him - might be SAVED! [ 5 ] Some Modern Theology to the contrary God is NOT content to win a 'few pitiful souls' and let 'satan' have '999 of 1,000 or even 9-of-10, 2-of-10 or even 2-of-100! Remember Jesus DID SAY! "If I be LIFTED UP (on the Cross) 'I WILL' DRAW ALL unto me!" So the FIRST FACT to FIX in your mind PERMANENTLY, is that God WANTS massive multitudes saved - even the WHOLE WORLD to be saved - and this IS WHY He sacrificed His only begotten son: Jesus Christ - it was NOT to condemn the world, and He is NOT WILLING that ANY should perish! John 3:17. The SECOND FACT to FIX in your mind PERMANENTLY, is that GOD wants you, me, and everyone to KNOW THAT WE ARE SAVED, here and now, and not live a life of torture, worrying, wondering, hoping, praying, begging, etc.

Dr Adrian Rogers - one of the Greatest Radio & Television Preachers-Teachers ever, Pastor of a 30,000 member Church in Memphis TN, and several times President of the Largest Protestant Denomination in the USA, said before his recent passing that this was the "CLEAREST PRESENTATION" of Salvation he had ever heard, and urged us to write a book entitled “So Great Salvation!” Our prayer today is that “YOU as well” find it a crystal clear, & stunningly simple presentation of Christ’s Gospel.
