Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential candidate, was visiting the Gaza Strip on Thursday, along with Democratic Reps. Brian Baird of Washington and Keith Ellison of Minnesota, Congress' only Muslim representative.

On his official campaign website, Obama has always posted this statement, “Barack has never been a Muslim or practiced any other faith besides Christianity."

Yet on December 22, 2007 in a small-town café in Pleasantville, Omaha, Obama was asked a question that typically only circulates on the Internet.

As he sat down to have a slice of pie with a small group of potential voters and an elderly woman asked him about being Muslim.

[ ] While campaigning for president, Obama campaigned: “I’ve always been a Christian, I have never practiced.” Note: the Illinois Democrat newspaper responded with the editors adding the word, “Islam.”

[ ] Obama’s grandfather was a Muslim. Obama’s father was a Muslim. Obama’s stepfather was a Muslim. His African relatives are Muslims. He wrote his first book "Dreams of My Father" He said that 'one of his proudest moments ever was when his half-brother openly professed Islam' . . . like the rest of the family I pre4sume?

[ ] Obama says he converted to Christianity at age 27 - approximately 20 years ago when he joined Reverend Wright's Radical Black-Panther, Louis Farrakhan, Malcolm-X Church in Chicago. What was he for the 27 years before his alleged conversion if all of his family were Muslims?

[ ] If Obama always was a Christian, what Churches did he attend in Hawaii for many years? Surely someone remembers! I certainly recall those who attended my Church as a youth and I'm considerably older than Barack!

[ ] In his autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” Obama mentions studying the Quran.

[ ] He was enrolled in two Jakarta schools as a Muslim.

[ ] His teacher Tine Hahiyary said that she remembered that he had studied “mengaji” (recitation of the Quran).”

[ ] Classmate Rony Amiris described Obama as being a very devout Muslim, saying, “Barry was previously quite religious in Islam.”

[ ] Another classmate, Emirsyah Satar, now the CEO of Garuda Indonesia, was quoted as saying, “He (Obama) was often in the prayer room wearing a ’sarong.’”
