One Year Ago Rush Pronounced 'Politically Dead!'

However . . . Rush's Newest Arbitron Ratings are 'Through the Roof!'

When moderate McCain won in South Carolina the liberal media were declaring this showed that Limbaugh and his right-wing views were politically dead.

Tom Brokaw huffily declared on “Meet the Press” one year ago that McCain’s win showed that Americans had rejected Rush's “dogma,” and were a “nomadic herd” hungering only for “solutions,” (socialistic and all) something conservatives apparently can’t offer.

Rush's Arbitron ratings in Spring of 2009 are through the roof indicating 30 million regular listeners and half the many irregular listeners.

A year ago, Obama sneakily tried to air a Spanish-language TV ad telling Latinos that Limbaugh thinks Mexicans are all stupid and Mexican immigrants should all shut up and go home, alleging him the "Mexican-hating Rush Limbaugh, El Gringo Maximo!"

Of course none of it was true.

What Obama was trying to do in this ad, obviously, was play to racial fears. “They want us to forget the insults we’ve put up with, the intolerance,” the ad announcer proclaimed in Spanish.

A picture of Rush Limbaugh appeared onscreen with quotes of him allegedly saying, “Mexicans are stupid and unqualified” and “Shut your mouth or get out.”

ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, & CNBC were all blasting Rush with this add! He was broiled on the View - that 'left-wing-think-tank-of highest scholarship - denounced by Letterman, mocked by Leno, and ridiculed by Jon Stewart.

But here’s where it gets fascinating. Factcheck.org also declared Obama’s Limbaugh ad “doubly misleading.” However, the Washington Post offered no “fact check” debunking Obama’s lies about Limbaugh in the news section of the paper.

[To her credit, liberal columnist Ruth Marcus slammed it five days later, but the news section did not. ABC News somehow allowed Tapper to blog everything that was wrong about the Obama ad, but never put him on television explaining it!] ABC skipped the Factcheck.org report

So did CBS.

So did NBC.

So did CNBC.

So did MSNBC.

So did CNN.

So even as ABC’s website reports that Obama is gravely misleading Latinos about the alleged Mexican-hating Rush Limbaugh, El Gringo Maximo, ABC was airing ridiculous claims from its own “experts” proclaiming Obama wants to campaign “in the clouds.”

Rush was highly criticized because of this ad and it seemed his bigger days were 10-years behind him: ergo Bubba Clinton. It was all over but the funeral!

Enter: Obama talking - with "teleprompter", of course!

Rush took him on "head-on" and attacked his foolish policies and amateur-hour-at-the-White-House first 50 days! American responded!

Today, however, Rush dominates the news! Unbelievable ratings with equally incredible revenue for EIB!

Obama invited Republican Congress persons to the white House, wined and dined them, pleading with them not to listen to Rush,

James Carvelle proclaims Rush 'King of the Republicans to whom all in Congress bow. Paul Begala, Chris Matthews, Chris Buckley, Rahm Emmanuel, George Stephenopolis - and a host of others "ditto" his claim.

Republican Congressman Gingrey apologizes to Rush for some comments. Michael Steele - Chairman of the National Republican Committee apologizes to Rush for equally inane comments.

Hannity interviews Rush in his new show promotion - with great ratings. Rush's CPAC speech is carried live by FOX and even CNN - preempting regular Saturday popular sports programs to great ratings and accolades from all sides with several repeat showing of the speech on C-Span.

A little icing on the cake is Rush's recent new radio contract near 500-million dollars with perks - all in a depressed economy!

Maybe Obama is the 'messiah' as he seems to have performed his first 'resurrection from the dead: his nemesis rush Limbaugh!
