Kristi Noem, "TEA PARTY PRINCESS!" Early life:

Kristi Lynn Arnold was born to Ron and Corinne Bergan Arnold on November 30, 1971. Noem graduated from Hamlin High School in 1990 and has taken college courses at Northern State University, Mount Marty College, and South Dakota State University, which she currently attends.[1]


KRISTI'S TRAGEDY:

Shockingly, her father died in a tragic farming accident, and Kristi was forced by circumstances at hand to leave college to help save the family farm - literally - by working out on her Father's Family Farm after his death.[4]

Noem is a businesswoman with interests in a farm, a ranch, and a hunting lodge.[5]

Kristi Noem represented the 6th District in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2007 to 2010, representing Beadle, Clark, Codington, Hamlin, and Kingsbury counties. Although Noem's district surrounded the city of Watertown, it was not a part of her district. Watertown instead is represented as District 5.

Kriati Noem also served as the Assistant Majority Leader from 2009-2010.[5][6]

United States House of Representatives election in South Dakota, 2010

Noem defeated Democratic incumbent Stephanie Herseth Sandlin for South Dakota's At-large congressional district.

On June 8, 2010, Noem won the Republican primary to win the nomination to face South Dakota's current at-large representative, Democrat Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.[7]

According to Larry Sabato's Crystal Ball in the Republican primary, she "impressed with her victory over two A-list opponents, capturing 42% of the vote against the sitting Secretary of State and a well-funded state legislator",[8]

. . . i.e., Secretary of State Chris Nelson and state representative Blake Curd. After the primary, Noem's two other Republican opponents endorsed Noem for the November general election against Herseth Sandlin.[5]

Noem and Herseth Sandlin ran neck-and-neck throughout the campaign, with each candidate leading in multiple polls.[9][10][11][12] A Washington Post story on the race described Kristi Noem as "a made-for-Fox News star" and a "mama grizzly" in Sarah Palin's mold.[13]

She received the endorsement of former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his PAC made a donation to her campaign.[14]

Noem defeated Sandlin on November 2, 2010, by 48.1% to 45.9%.[15] She explained her victory by stating that she thinks they (voters) "were frustrated with the way things were run in Washington, D.C., with the Democrats in charge."[15]

Noem is pro-life.[16] She has the support of Susan B. Anthony List.[17] She stated after her election that she hopes to maintain a 100% pro-life voting record.[18]

At the South Dakota state Republican convention on June 26, 2010, Noem stated that she would vote to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.[19]

She wants to end the estate tax.[18] She disagrees with gun regulation.[18] She supports continuing ethanol subsidies that benefit her state.[20]

Noem has opposed a bill introduced by South Dakota Senator Tim Johnson that would designate over 48,000 acres (190 km2) of the Buffalo Gap National Grassland as protected wilderness.[21]

Noem has stated that one of the most important issues is the lack of a balanced budget.[22]

Noem lives with her husband and their three children on a ranch near Castlewood.[2] As of 2009, she had a 16.9% ownership stake in the ranch, Racota Valley Ranch.[23] It has received $3,058,152 in farm subsidies since 1995.[24]

For recreation, she is a hunter.[25]

Kisti Noem is not exactly the "model vehicle owner/operator.

>> Kristi Noem also incurred stop sign violations;

>> Kristi Noem incurred seat belt violations;

>> Kristi Noem also had a no driver's license charge,

>> Kristi Noem furthermore has had failure to appear notices,

>> Kristi Noem worst of all, has had two arrest warrants.




Noem said, "I'm not proud of my driving record, but [I've] been working hard to be a better example to young kids and young drivers out there."

She has fully paid off her fines and penalties.[27][28]

HOWEVER . . .It's not as bad as it seems.

The roads in South Dakota are long, straight, flat . . . and without cars!

To stop at a stop sign in the middle of nowhere, with the nearest car an hour away - when one is in a great hurry with father in the hospital . . . well . . . it's mighty easy to come to a "rolling-stop" . . . she did and she shouldn't have.

Santa is always watching . . .

Likewise forgetting the seat-belt one day.

Going a couple miles-per-hour over the speed limit on long, straight, flat EMPTY roads - ONCE PER YEAR from 1989 to 2011 - is also something everyone in South Dakota does including the law! . . .

Again, she did and she shouldn't have.

Santa is always watching . . .

A mix-up in a court date to dispute speeding tickets often results in mandatory bench warrant for arrest. For Kristi Noem, a busy woman on the go . . . she does need to "slow down just a tad!"

However, one can be sure, as a public figure with children watching Mom drive, she has NEVER driven in a reckless fashion - NEVER! but always "wreckless"

Just shows nobody's perfect, not even the Tea Party Princess!
