THE WORD of GOD, AXIOM-1:

"IF" there exists any such thing as 'The Word of God'; [and there most definitely does!]

"THEN" by inherent definition - it must be: Holy, Inspired, Inerrant, Infallible, Indestructible, Inalienable, Immutable, Inexhaustible, Infinitive, Invincible, Impossible-to-Improve: and Eternal! NEVER FAILING and ALL CONQUERING!

DEDUCTING from the simple fact - that God equates His Word with Himself: "In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, . . ." John 1:1 (and other Scriptures), the 'Word of God' can have no lesser standard than stated above;

MY TESTIMONY of Life in a POLYGAMOUS HOME in Africa

Just like most people born in the African family setting, I was from a polygamous home. My father was married to several women at different times during his life time. And that means freedom on one side, for the children and survival of the fittest, both at the same.

A care-free attitude permeates the atmosphere in such families, because to them, this father is everybody's father. Everybody's business, is nobody's business. Each wife would try to outplay the other, to get the attention of their husband to get the best for themselves and their children.

I, being the first child out of several, was born to an "average" christian home. I call it average because most Christians back then, and even now, are not really born-again. They bear names like, Peter, James, or John, but they are the same set of people you will see participating actively in traditional religious rites.

My grandfather was a member of the local Anglican assembly, but his religion did not stop him fro organizing or participating in traditional age-group clubs, wher they share local wine and kola nuts among members. These are traditional rites that they saw nothing wrong with, and the new religion could not stop them from participating in them. That was the believe of most of the early believers. My own father was a member of the first Nigerian Pentecostal church, so I grew up in that church.

As a kid, I had always loved to serve the Lord; even when I didn't fully understand what it meant to be a born-again. The fact remains that I hate injustice, I always want to identify with the truth. Through the Bible stories being told to kids about satan, I already made up my mind concerning him. Satan was an ingrate to have turned against God after God had made him what he was "Lucifer, the morning star." I love God for sending Jesus as a propitiate for our sins, and Jesus for accepting to save all mankind.

I remember when I used to spend some time with my grandfather as a kid. The church was a long distance to our house, and I would want to join the choir for the service. I used to wake up very early and would run to the church to get my choir robe. There were very few of those robes that were neat and fit, if you miss any of those, you can't lead the choir procession to carry the "Reverend's Cross." I was about nine or ten years old at this time, on such Sundays, I had to skip breakfast to be able to get that spot. But it was fun, it was a pleasure doing it.

Back with my family in the city, I always attend every church program, even when my father was not going with me. I started fasting at age fifteen, and got baptized at age seventeen. I have always been in the presence of God ever since. Anywhere I find myself, the Holy Spirit figures me out for one assignment or the other, even when I made up my mind to be a passive observer for whatever reason. At age twenty-three, I had become a Sunday school teacher, pulpit minister and a church organist. But as an adolescent, the peer- pressure, the new found freedom, would make me to slip from time to time, but each time, His grace would find me out. He spoke to me personally on January 2nd, 2003. He showed Himself as a loving Father. And that has made the final turning point in my life, no more looking back.

MESSAGE: "And all have Sinned"
Everything that God created was perfect. According to the scriptures, mankind was wonderfully and beautifully created in the image of God. Man was created without sin, morally upright and inclined to do good. (Eccl. 7:29). But somewhere along the line, something went wrong. In fact everything went wrong, because things fell apart and the centre could no longer hold.

Adam and Eve, created by God, into the garden of Eden were blessed by Him (Gen.2:8).

“Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it:

and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the foul

of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

(Gen. 1:28).

This was the wish of God concerning mankind. Though God gave them dominion over everything he had created, He also gave them an injuction not to eat out of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil which was at the centre of the garden.

“For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

(Gen.2:17).

But sin entered into human experience when Adam and Eve were deceived by the devil into eating the fruit that God commanded them not to eat. Satan, the old serpent , who is the devil is a liar and father of all lies (John 8:44) came to Eve at her unguarded hour. He lied to her that, God lied in saying they would die if they ate out of the knowledge of good and evil, instead their eyes would open and they would be like other Gods, knowing good and evil. (Gen.3:4-5). Satan lied even to himself saying,

“I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the

stars of God…I will be like the most high.”

(Isaiah 14:13-14)

So for him to lie to another person in order to derail her destiny was not too much of a surprise. But the day that man chose to obey the devil rather than God, they became servant of the devil.

“For to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his

servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto

death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”

(Romans 6:17).

Because Adam was the head and representative of the whole human race, his sin affected all future generations of man. (Rom. 5:12-21).

And so, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, (Rom. 3:23). Because we all are descendants of Adam, no one is exempted. None is righteous, no, not even one, for everyone born of a woman is a sinner. All the righteousness that we may claim, all our moral uprightness, are like filthy rags before the Lord. According to the scripture, anyone that covereth his sins shall not prosper (Proverbs 28:13).

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is

eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

(Rom. 6:23).

Jesus Christ is the one in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Eph. 1:7). Though the wages of our sin is death, yet God does not want anyone of us to perish. So he has given us His only begotten son (Jesus Christ)” that whosoever believeth in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). If the wicked shall turn from his evil ways, he shall have eternal life (Ezekiel 33:14-15).

God is not the author of sin, as we already know from Genesis chapter 2, but He has a plan for dealing with sin and redemption of the world (II Samuel 24:1; I Chron. 21:1). And this is the message of Salvation from the cross that, “Jesus has been made a curse for our sake, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone that is placed on the cross.” He took our place, in dying for us on the cross. This is the gospel that in Him alone is life. Choose life today, so that you may live. His salvation is free, but then it is not cheap. It cost the shedding of the blood of innocent Jesus for you and me to be saved.

Therefore, don’t wish it away, perhaps, You are still contemplating it in your heart, tomorrow may never come, the time is NOW! Many people abound today they claim to be what they are not, the word of God says: “Be not deceived ; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap, if we faint not.” Our own righteouseness cannot accomplish this though. We have to come and acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

And we that are already saved, let us tell others about the good tidings.

“Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from

the error of his way shall save a soul from death , and

shall hide a multitude of sins”

(James 5:20).

Message by Dr. Ale: “That I May Know Him…”

The Lord Jesus Christ spoke to the Jews in the gospel of John, 10:4-5, that, a sheep will only follow their shepherd because they knew him and could recognize his voice. They would not follow a stranger because they knew him not...

In essence, we need to know Jesus as our shepherd before we can follow Him. But many so-called Christians today, who claim to follow Jesus and their fruits does not show any sign of a good sheep following its shepherd makes us to wonder then, what it really means to “know Him”.

The Apostle Paul, in his epistle to the Philippians (3:10) says, “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.”

When Jesus was at the synagogue in Nazareth, the people did not know Him. To them, HE was the son of Joseph the Carpenter (Luke 4:22).

This illustration shows to us then that knowing Jesus Christ is far beyond meeting a person in the physical. It is spiritual knowledge.

Many people gathered around our Lord in those days of His earthly ministry, but not all of them knew Him. Some people were in the crowd just to while away the time, some due to curiosity. “This man of Galilee that raised the dead let me go and see what he looks like”.

Yet there were few that came to Him because they knew Him. No wonder then, in the book of Matthew 20:16, Jesus said many were called but few were chosen. The few that were chosen, were the ones that knew Him.
