The first mention of the word PALESTINE in history is the Second Century AD (the AD-100's), in Official Roman Records, reporting on the ongoing War between Rome and the Jews.
Amazingly, the people of the Philestines DISAPPEARED from recorded history about the same time, after opposing the Jews for 2,000 years!
[NOTE ASIDE: Goliath, the Giant killed by the Jewish David before he was King of Israel, was the Champion of the Philestines!
The land Israel eventually occupied for their own was know by two names in the Holy Bible: "Land of the Philestines" and "Land of Canaan."

etymology of the word 'Palestine' is an ERROR, made by a Roman Leader (using Latin) in the Second Century AD:
In an attempt to INSULT the JEWS by calling them by the name of their 2,000-year-enemy, the Philestines - making the Jews the people of the "Land of PHILESTINE". This insult implied they were poor, rude, crude and barbarish, which is how the Philestinians were "stereotyped, being immigrants - which had some inherent truth.
The Roman Officer who wrote the 'Official Roman Report' simply did one of the following:
1] Simply misspelled 'Philestine', making it "Palestine" - or
2] simply failed to remember the word 'Philestine', and incorrectly recalled "Palestine" - or
3] Perhaps was reading 'poor handwriting' and miss-read 'Philestine' for "Palestine", and never knew any difference.
[B] To the Romans, having the WHOLE WORLD for their Empire, neither Jews nor Philestines mattered much at all! (an area equal to a few small counties!)
>> Palestine? Philestine? Misspelled? Mispronounced? Both?
>> Who knew? Who cared? Who Checked-Twice? NOT ROME!
>> Furthermore, the Romans didn't know the Hebrew word for Philestines was "IMMIGRANTS" - people who came into the land AFTER the Canaanites had been conquered & driven out, their very name showing they were NOT the original people of that described region: the Land of Canaan.
[C] Thus throughout the Roman Empire for the rest of their history, the Land of the Jews was known by and referred to as The Land of "PALESTINE" by all that be in Rome. [meant to be Philestine]';
[D] On the fifth century AD when the Roman Catholic Scholar Jerome translated the Bible from Greek to the Roman Language of Latin, ALL HE KNEW from his formal education in Roman-Latin studies for the Land of Israel was the "Land of Palestine"
** No doubt Jerome was like almost all Modern Scholars; . . . ** . . . who when they come to a Scripture that DISAGREES with Modern History or Science . . . THEY CHANGE THE BIBLE!!!
** So Jerome used this erroneous phrase Palestine and INSERTED it in the Jewish Old Testament in Joel 3:4 . . . certain the Ancient Prophets of Israel MADE AN ERROR!
Joel 3:4 - Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? Context Joel 3:3-5
** While "Palestine" in only in Scripture ONCE by error;

[H] Obvious to scholars is the EXTREME LACK of due diligence given to the KING JAMES BIBLE - the personal project of 'King-James-who-believed-he-should-be-worshiped-as-a-god', [WEBSEARCH HIS OWN WORDS!] . . .
. . . and tried to get Laws in England MAKING people worship him, and bow in his presence!

seeking God's Truth was NOT the goal! Therefore, when they translated the King James Version of the Bible, just to satisfy the EGO of the Mad King (who thought he was god!), they mistakenly translated (1) 'Philestine' as "Palestine" in Joel 3:4,
(2) "Palestina" in Exo 15:14,
(3) "Palestina"in Isa 14.29,
(4) "Palestina" in 14.31.
(5) While 'Philestine(s) is in the Bible 245 times, covering 2,000 years of history (Septuagint - Bible of Jesus and Paul - Chronology);
[J] Zionism, you can verify this to yourself by looking up the Words 'Palestine' & 'Palestina' from the references above, in the Hebrew Dictionary of Strong's Exhaustive Concordance.
[a] The number in Strong's in 6429
[b] Strong's Hebrew Dictionary definition is 'sojourners' (Immigrants).
[c] Others use 'immigrant'. Either way, the meaning is clear, that even the Philistines were not a long-established people in the Land of Canaan - MUCH LESS the Modern Arab Muslims who ERRONEOUSLY claim to be 'Palestinians'!
[K] Obviously, in the middle and dark Ages:
>> Very few on Earth know that there never were such a Palestinian people, nation, language, etc., >> Or that the VERY WORD PALESTINE is not authentic: nothing more than an error,
>> And just as obvious: apparently very few really care, as it doesn't matter much to anyone . . .
>> EXCEPT to the JEWS, who own the land;
>> And the modern Immigrant Arabs, who WANT some of the land to be given to them: FOR FREE!
[L] To make a long story short, the Modern Arabic Muslims living amongst the Jews today in the Ancient land of Canaan (Modern Israel);

[M] Yet the Modern Arabic Muslims INSIST they have a nearly 2,000 year-old claim on the Jewish Land - going back to the Roman Scribal error when the word "Palestine"first came into being - BECAUSE they say they are the DESCENDANTS of the Ancient Owners of the land: the PALESTINIANS [who ACTUALLY NEVER existed!].

[U] Likewise, these Ethnic Arabs - speaking Arabic Language and practicing Arabic Religion and customs - LOUDLY CLAIM "PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY!"
>> (IN FACT, that's why they named their renegade political government PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY!)
[V] Why would "known Arabs" - speaking Arabic with ALL Arabic heritage and roots CLAIM to be "Palestinian"?
>> BECAUSE this MAY lead to getting FREE LAND from Israel! >> As FORCED by the ignorant United Nations and Americans!
* But ONLY if they claim to be Palestinians, * And ONLY if they convince an UNTHINKING, UNSEARCHING andMISUNDERSTANDING world that there ACTUALLY WERE Palestinians who have dwelt there for millennia;
* THEN, & ONLY THEN, do they have ANY AUTHORITY to CLAIM Zionism-JEWISH LAND AS THEIR OWN;

Palestine was created about 1964 when terrorist thug Yassir Arafat - who thought of himself as a general just because he pinned things to his shirt -
declared the "Palestine" Liberation Organization. If you went to Israel in pre-1948 and asked where the office of the Jewish Jerusalem Post Newspaper was . . . they could not have shown you.
Why?
Because Jewish Jerusalem Post Newspaper was Jewish "Palestinian Post Newspaper" before the Arab-Muslims took "highjacked" the name Palestinian . . . and converted-perverted it for their own goals . . .
. . . just like the sodomites and practicers of "buggery" "highjacked" the word "GAY" . . . and converted-perverted it for their own goals . . .
Prior to this, Palestinians were Jews;
If you went to Israel in pre-1948 and asked a British officer (the British occupied the land back then) to show you a Palestinian, he would show you a Jew. The Arabs were referred to - as Arabs - because they were Arabs!
The whole idea of "Palestine" came about in 135 CE, when a major Jewish revolt that had frustrated the Romans for a long time was put down. The emperor changed the name of the area from Judea to "Philestia" after the brutish, backward "Phlestines" of the Bible, the Jews' ancient enemies).. . .
. . . which was later misspelled from "Philestia" into "Palestina, in a Roman report and has been known that way ever after!
To further muddle Jewish relation to the land, he combined Judea with the Syrian-Roman province and called the tract of land, "Syria-Palestina" He then attempted to expel all the Jews, yet some remained.
There never was a country called "Palestine".
The whole "Palestine" name kind of stuck, and was just a name for a province in various entities, such as the Ummayad Caliphate, Turkish empire etc.
The land was of little value, economically or religiously, to these Muslim occupying regimes, and hence, when Jews started returning in larger numbers back in the 1870's, they saw the land was severely neglected.
Mark Twain:
Mark Twain visited the Jordan Valley - Ancient Israel - in the 1860's and wrote in his journals that apart from small communities of Jews and a few wandering Arabs, the land was deserted.So throughout the later half of the 1800's and up to 1948, the Jews came back and worked on the land, setting up farms, draining swamps, laying down roads, hospitals, banks, telephone wires, etc.
When the poor, non-landowning Arabs - with many criminals and ex-felons saw this - they started moving to Israel from neighboring Jordan and Syria in larger numbers. Then clamored for "independence", yet had never done anything themselves for a claim to the land.
Thus it was a simple matter for the United Nations to recognize the Jewish state with their many=thousands-of-years-claim and language - still spoken - as a free and sovereign nation inn 1948.
In short, there never was a "Palestine", nor a "Palestinian Arab nation".
It's all a historical perversion.
